Welcome to CAARI
2017! They came from
Boston, Toronto, New Jersey, California, Montreal, Maryland, and Virginia for the Hafia-Galilee portion of the program We are still waiting for 3 to arrive whose
flights have been delayed by weather. Ah
– winter! It is wonderful to see those
that have been on the CAARI program before and those that on are new, We were warmly welcomed by the Prima City Staff
and the new look at the Hotel.
Our first touring
day began by departing Tel Aviv for the Lavi Forest where we planted
trees in a very moving ceremony remembering CAARI participants who passed away
this past year and participants remembered and honored their loved ones. We
then traveled a short distance to
Moshav Zippori were we met Ayelah at Resh Lachish Estate Olive Oil Facility, where they grow their own olives organically.
Ayelet, is a world known authority on olive oil production. She explained the enemies of olive oil, sun light, plastic bottles etc., and we tasted a number of varieties of olive oil.

Our last stop after
lunch was Zippori, the archaeological site, that was where the Mishnah
was codified in the Third Century CE. The synagogue was amazing as was the beautiful
mosaics. We were all happy to meet the
staff and the charming Bay Club Hotel where we are staying while up north.
Enjoy the pictures!
Regards to all!
