Community Service, Shuni and lecture on Bauhaus Architecture - January 28

Another rainy which does not interfere with our community service.  Each day we enjoy the children, the clients at the Rehab and the flowers.  Although, we do not work outside, we work inside and the international seed project.  In the afternoon we were supposed to pick fruit for the needy, but too muddy.  Susan and Neill changed some days around and after lunch we visited Shuni, which is an archaeological site, a sculptor exhibit and the training grounds of the Etzel.

In the evening Talia spoke to us about Bauhaus architecture.   This part of a 2 part series. Later in the week, she will take us on a walking tour of Tel Aviv.  So, many interesting programming with the CAARI Program!

Tour Day - Weizmann Institute Visitors' Center, Weizmann House & Guide Dog Center

Today is our touring day.  Again, we have cloudy skies, but it seems as we drove south, the skies seemed to clear.  First stop was the Weizmann Institute Visitors Center.  Quite Impressive!  From there to the newly refurbished Weizmann House and to the Israel Guide Dog Center.

Community Service & Rabin Museum - Jan 24

Breakfast and taxis.  That is how we start on mornings on Community Service d
ays.  We have several choices of community service - tutoring English in elementary schools, working in a Rehab Hospital or a variety of work in the Botanical Gardens.

Today, after Community Service we went back to the hotel for lunch.  Our afternoon tour was the fabulous Rabin Museum and the special Exhibit.

Dinner tonight was at the Goshen Restaurant in Neve Zedek.  It is always good to have a night out!
